The third and final community workshop for the Norwood Greening Project took place on Saturday, February 25, 2023 via Zoom due to the winter storm.
A total of 18 participants were in attendance including five ActiveSGV staff, one staff member from Trust for Public Land, and one staff member from EMCSD. The presentation gave an overview of the outreach that has been conducted over the last five months, and community feedback received through paper surveys and voting on preferred concept design features. The presentation concluded with an optimistic outlook on funding for the project.
In anticipation of the third workshop ActiveSGV staff engaged robust outreach methods including: door to door canvassing, sending mailers, text banking campaigns, and social media posts.
